WE BELIEVE SERVING IS
Our roots run deep here in East Texas as locally formed and locally serving credit union. A small group of postal employees came together with a dream to form a financial cooperative to serve the needs of postal employees in Smith, Upshur, Van Zandt, and Wood counties. In 1932 their dream became a reality and United Credit Union was born and began operations in the basement of the Post Office in Tyler TX. The goal was to assist members with their financial needs and help them to grow in financial independence to provide for their families and to enjoy life. Over the years United Credit Union has strategically expanded and added additional fields of membership, including federal employees, Smith County and portions of Wood and Van Zandt counties, to bring our home town approach of service to a larger group of East Texas. We are proud of our heritage from humble beginnings in the basement of the Tyler TX post office to our current location.
